We are a husband and wife team whose business has stemmed from our absolute love of the Gower Peninsular in Swansea. My wife has recently celebrated her birthday and myself, looking outside the box as always, decided to make her a selection of homemade soy candles all based on our special memories made in different parts of the Gower … and this is how A&J Candles was born!

We use only the finest ingredients in our candles, including premium slow-burning eco-soy wax, high quality fragrance oils, and cotton wicks.

Each candle is hand-poured with love in small batches in our workshop overlooking the Gower. Eco-soy wax has been chosen specifically as it is smokeless, non-carcinogenic, non-toxic and natural. It also exhibits an excellent scent throw which enables us to create a delicate well-balanced, true-to-scent candle. Using slow burning soy wax means that this candle will have a cleaner, longer burn time of up to 18 hours (small) and 35-40 hours (large). We also use eco wicks and either recyclable or reusable packaging for all our candles.
We believe that using high-quality ingredients is the key to creating candles that look and smell amazing, and that burn cleanly and evenly.

Our Gower Memories range is at the core of all that we do. Our Gower Memories range of candles is based on a coastal theme, with each candle having its own unique label and fragrance to represent one of the many iconic beaches of the Gower.
